Social Media Officer

Overview

The Social Media Officer is a DBS registered person who supports the club in communicating, via our social media channels, the stories that reflect the activities, spirit and ethos of our vibrant club.

The role involves the publishing of club news on our social media channels, including fixtures, results and match highlights and photos, as well as sharing the moments that make grassroots football special.

The Social Media Officer will aim to represent the diverse community of the club and endeavour to ensure that all parts of the club, from our youngest players through to our oldest walking footballers, are featured regularly. Social media is also a key tool in ensuring our generous sponsors are credited, so the Social Media Officer will be aware of all our sponsors, and their own social media accounts, tagging them into posts wherever possible.

A regular task is the publishing of our fixtures at the beginning of a weekend, and our competitive results and goalscorers on a Sunday evening.

In addition, this role will aim to support and educate coaching teams and parents on generating content for social channels, in line with FA guidelines.

The social media officer will work closely with the Marketing and Press Officers in creating content for wider channels, such as newsletters and the club website, helping to develop new ways to widen the club’s digital audience.
