Team Administrator
Overview
A Team Administrator is a DBS registered person who reduces the administrative and logistical burden on the team’s coaches by acting as a conduit between parents and the coaching team.
Team Administrators can help parents share feedback for the coaches, or pass on relevant information from parents back to the coaches concerning players. Team Adminstrators will also help ensure general messaging from the club is received and understood by parents, as well as monitoring monthly payments for their team.
On matchdays the Team Adminstrator might also provide non-coaching support, organising parents to assist with pitch set-up for example, or assistant refereeing duties.
As safeguarding is paramount to the club the Team Administrator provides another DBS registered member to be present at training and matches. This role is perfect for those parents who attend regularly and wish to assist the team, but do not want to do so by coaching.
Key duties
To support coaches, as required, during training and matchdays
Uphold the club’s ethos and values
Provide a conduit, during training and matchdays, for parents and coaches to communicate
Be a good role model and encourage good matchday behaviour
Track membership fees and liaise with parents regarding outstanding payments
Complete training attendance register
Expected hours of the role (per week)
With attendance at training and matchdays, plus ad hoc communication with coaches, it is expected that this role would cover around 2-3 hours per week. It is not essential, or expected, that Parent Reps attend every session, but work with coaches to ensure that two DBS registered volunteers attend games and training.
