Wildcats
Football fun for girls aged 5-11
WHERE?
Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School, Old Dover Road, Canterbury, CT1 3EW
WHEN?
Saturdays, 10.00am - 10.45am
Our Wildcats Girls’ Football Centre provides girls aged 5-11 years old with the opportunity to have fun, make friends and play football.
This friendly, supportive environment, lead by qualified FA coaches, develops girls’ physical and social skills and, we hope, will inspire a lifelong love of the game.
The FA has designed the Wildcats programme to embrace difference and to welcome girls of all abilities, backgrounds and experiences. So much has been achieved in progressing women and girls’ football in recent years, and our very own Canterbury Old Bags United have been trailblazers for women’s participation in the sport. So the Eagles are delighted to be able to offer this fantastic introduction to football for girls in our area.
What to wear
Wildcats takes place on grass, which can sometimes be wet and muddy in the winter months, so football boots are the best option. If you don’t want to invest in a pair straight away we do have some second-hand pairs in the pavilion. Please also wear shin pads, and clothing appropriate for the weather on the day.
Volunteering
We’re always keen to welcome new coaches to Wildcats. If you’re interested in helping us, please come and talk to our lead coach Simon!
