Women’s Super League trophy comes to Eagles
A special guest brought some sparkle to an otherwise rather rainy Saturday morning training session at Langton Girls, as our Wildcats and girls’ teams as the actual Women’s Super League trophy paid us a visit!
The trophy, recently held aloft by Chelsea’s galaxy of superstars including Millie Bright, Jess Carter and Fran Kirby as they clinched their fifth title in a row at Old Trafford, was on display for an hour or so in the slightly less glamorous setting of Simon Langton Girls’ sports pavilion! Arranged by Wildcats lead Simon Kraft, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our girls to get up close to the most prestigious trophy in English women’s football, and be inspired by thoughts of all the fantastic players who have competed for it. With very strict instructions not to touch - apparently only winners of the trophy are allowed to put their hands on it - the Wildcats were first up to be photographed, followed by our older squads. What a inspirational way to wrap up the season!
