Wildcats spotted at Langton

What a fantastic start to our brand new Wildcats programme! Spurred on by a warm day and blue sky, our 18 football-mad new recruits were put through their paces by head coach Jo and her brilliant all-female coaching team.

Placed into age-appropriate small groups, the few nerves there were soon subsided as the girls got on with having a good time and getting involved with the footballing action. Players started to learn dribbling skills, passing techniques and how to have a good crack at goal during the hour-long session held at Simon Langton Girls’ School on Saturday.

The FA developed Wildcats specifically to give girls the best possible introduction to football, and we’re really excited to be bringing Wildcats football to the city for the first time.

Canterbury Eagles Wildcats takes place every Saturday from 10-11am and we have places available to girls aged 5-11. If you came along to the first session, we hope you had a great time and look forward to booking you in for next week. And, if you’re looking to sign up for the first time, you’ll be very welcome to join us.

Please note: due to the strict guidelines currently in place around football to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, we need you to pre-book sessions for the time being. This allows us to ensure appropriate social distancing and to have in place a reliable track and trace system.
